Anyway back to 3D been doing work with liam on my course. A robot character, hes a little guy who hasn't been finished, the factory he was built in was shut down half way through his production so he never got finished, the factory is now abandoned! he is all alone and he wants to escape, he has enough power for one try!  Who knows this could be a future project!

HAND IN!!!

YESSS hand in day approaches, the da everyone dreads, this time I think I have got enough to get a high mark, worst thing is, I haven't got hardly any of my animation finished  even though I wanted to get more than I should have finished!

I've only got 2 scenes out of 7 finished, and when I say finished, done but with huge regret on my behalf!

All that is finished to do now is evaluate and hand in I think anyway. Todo List thank you once again.

SCENE 1

This is the first render with sound of Scene, not as good as I wanted but it took 32 hours to render and almost 2 days to add sound, so for now this will do!

So far....

Hand in week and for this project I am No where I want to be, Ive got the first and second scene finished just the 3rd scene needs to be finished and then rendered off, I have scene 1 in sound and rendered off from Final Cut.
Since I needed sound I went for a trip out, collecting sounds from the metro station at newcastle, and since that didn't work, I just went to the street next to a metro line and recorded a metro driving
past. worked well on the occasion....for once.

Mid way through writing the essay, collecting more points and actual facts just to back up my work, harder than expected I must say, but thats what work is!

The character animation could have been so much better but due tot he time I have left...(1week) I just had to animate the face, nothing much else.

But the animation looks quite good for the amount of time it took to make, a lot of tweaks to make it seem the way I want but thats like every animator, never perfect.

I will upload a video of the first scene ASAP, just to show you all what it looks like so far!

Well since I finished the live brief  all thats left is the writing up.. kinda anyway, I might do another live brief and continue getting more work experience!

This is the final work file that I have given to the client! rendered off at 1920-1080 so good enough for TV.

Update!

Well the live brief went well, I'm giving the final piece on monday!

And back to the massive project!!!!! kill me now, i'd like to say, its been great but damn. Ive got to the 4th scene, but still have not rendered off a final file... which i really need to do before end of next week, just so I have the right sounds and everything! wow its cutting it close.
also I found out today I have a essay that needs to bee in soon. wow I am going to have to buckle down major like when I was off during the summer and xmas!
but yeah back to the major project.
Scene 1 - the train station and ticket sequence, all complete just need to render.
Scene 2 - the tubing, camera work needs to be sorted and corrected but almost there.
Scene 3 - The grinder that was weirdly a success which I honestly didn't have much faith in but then again I never listen to my self!
Scene 3.5 - the secondary camera works fine the motion is a little off but that is working so far
Scene 4 - another short of Tubing, camera still needs work but almsot there and then coming out the top of a fountain.
scene 5 - Coming out of the fountain... Meeting the character, since im a little short of time, im only having him sitting in his rocking chair sleeping, and then waking up slightly to say hi to the camera! and of course with his little pet ladybirds! camera and actions still need work but almost there!
Scene 6 - well I haven't even started that! so Ill keep you informed on how that will go later

Thanks for reading my rant

so heres a picture of my random tracer ident

Live brief

Well on tuesday I was given a live brief by a media student, who would like me to do a small finishing piece for his work.
His production companies name with some nice things to make them stand out!
so having a chat with him and I am sorted, well when I say that, it takes time to make it and render it!
but so far I have 4 trials to show him and each one has a nice kick to it!
here are some print screens.
They all look similar since I have been told to use a certain font and just have a go with it, using xplode plugins and fx tools just to give it that reversed explosion look and a lens flare on cinema 4d to give it that final bit!

work based learning

Well, we have to do a live brief about animation, so I am thinking of picking Lego... or Channel 4 seven. just to give it a quick over line, and a bit of difference. for the  lego I must give it an interesting overview so that it will bring children towards buying the product, while the channel 4 seven, is a simple opening animation, which has to be under guidelines.
