Here I am again, very early hours, haven't been sleeping for a while sooooo due to this I have taken upon my self to do some more work, as you do!
these videos are of different composites that i may be using for my final MTV ident, who knows as of yet, but these are the competitors, they aren't officially finished but so far this is what i've got! links from youtube!

The video I promised

I did some compositing earlier, and forgot to upload the videos of the files, so here they are.
The first one is my first attempt, which went well but needed tweaks on how the camera moved, so the second one is now my correction.
hope you like!
also sorry about the quality, but blogger wont let me upload any good stuff

The model

The two videos I posted, this is the model from different angles.
the model isn't in fact finished, i still need to do the back hatch and a few details on the wings and engines.

Bored at home!

Over the past few weeks, i've been bored doing some compositing so after i tried so of that out i just changed my mind and wanted to model something....well different, so I figured out that i should just go farfetched, and i ended up watching star wars, as you do! and great films love them, so i thought... im going to make my own ship!

Give it some nice textures and big engines making it flame up and blast off.
but so far i've only got the model done, i've also done a few trails of the flames. here they are.

Depth of field

Today on cinema 4D we learned how to, make a scene with a still image, making it seem real, and then give it a camera so that we can move inside the  scene.

it is really clever how we manipulate the planes into thinking that it is actually a scene in real life not just an image on different planes.
This image above, is just a small example of how  depth of field works, changing the range on the camera and giving the plain simple look makes the whole image change just slightly so it looks more realistic
The next post will be a composite video of the street view I made in class

Making the trails for MTV

Since our Ident is for MTV i had made some trails for the MTV in 3D, so this is what i ended up with!

CHannel 4 research

To make the small ident i had to look at how they have been made prior to doing it my self.

these two images above, are different but they still have the same properties besides one has the video footage not a still in the background.
just a different part of tweaking is needed for the making the video type file.

Making the channel 4

The channel 4 logo was simple to make it was just 9 extruded splines then made to move in formation.

The split screen was just 2 camera angles rendered off at the same time, then in after effects using the pen tool to cut out a slight part in the video so that each can partially be seen.

The Class Channel 4 Lesson

In the class we were meant to make a channel 4 ident, just as a trail, giving it a look alike the actual channel 4 bumpers.

Took 2 hours 25 minutes to complete! Worth it.

trail

we used this video, thanks to Stephen Mcbriarty for a trial run on a still.

SKATE 101

For the previous video I posted, since the video is so smooth the tricks we could use are from 26 - 35 seconds... but using a lock off camera would limit the use of the angles we can get, but also increase our simple idea and make it easier for us to animate.

skate trail -I Dent Research

This video is the style we need for the skateboard. since he tricks only last a few seconds if that, they are done quickly. the two tricks we are thinking of being similar to are at 25-29, jumping from the donut ramp!

Walt Disney Pictures (Blue Castle) I dent old, the good.

The old I dent which was transformed into the one below, it is still good and for all the 90's children/teens many movies started with this!

Walt Disney Pictures Ident from the good to 3D

The old I dent for Disney use to be a 2D nice old fashioned castle now it has been transformed into a 3D world.

BUSY I dent

BUSY BUSY BUSY, this I dent has many things going on in the scene, it was most likely made in 2D but looks like 3D shapes, the idea behind it is just madness, anything and everything reacting to one another.
This animation/I dent is how simple they can become, even though it doesn't give much away, the narration and title of the channel will give you what you need.
This I dent is just to show how simple/complex they can be, some are vivid and some are detailed.
it all depends on the type of style.

Todays CAAD

todays we've ben experimenting with the compositing, they aren't really good but for the first try it worked quite well. just adding a cube into an open space with the image as a background.

the little pet idea

since the last post, I was really determined too make either a slug or a bettle, so i made a lady bug just to see if i could, since the lady bug doesn't really have many things to move. besides the legs i thought it would be a good 'pet' for my character. so here is the trail of my lady bug, still not finished yet though.

first project is done!

During the first project, many many things went scewwiff... yes I said scewwiff... odd saying but thats my way.
the first ideas of the projects were handed and they were all done and dusted, could have been sooner but the later it is the more you can have to hand in and reassure your self! and thankfully I did.

On this post, there will  be pictures of my finalised model sheets and elevations, as well as a few walk cycles, they aren't finalised so don't be harsh, but give me some critique to see what else i can do to see what the people want!

the first image is of my controller character, he will be only on screen for a few seconds or so, but there will be multiple pods with duplicates of him in them.
The next two images are the my secondary character, he wil have his son with him as they are a pair of explorers.  the first one is the detail of who and what he does, the second image is all his emotions.

What I think of doing next is adding a pet, maybe a beetle or some kind of mollusc since they are the same size of the bugs, it could be a pet of they'res and they could be taking it for a walk.

Instead of posting videos on here, since i have an error message, i will post the links to youtube and then there you can see my other models i have uploaded, they are slightly out of date but i will be uploading more soon.
